| We are an Evangelical Anglican Church, which means that we believe that the Bible is the word of God. Through the Bible God reveals Himself to us, both His nature and His character. The Bible also reveals God’s plan of salvation for us through faith in his Son Jesus Christ, and in Jesus’ saving work on our behalf through His crucifixion and resurrection.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that
the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
The Bible is a book inspired by God to teach, correct and guide our lives so that we may live a life that becomes more God like, fulfilling His purposes for us.
We also believe in the work of the Holy Spirit, that through Him we see and become more like Jesus Christ. Through our worship we invite Him to lead us, and we try and follow His leading in our lives as individuals and as a church.
Currently we are a congregation of about 40 – 50 adults each Sunday, with about 40 or so children and teenagers. Our children and teenagers are very active members of the church.
Gleneagles Anglican Church came out of a church plant from our ‘mother’ church ‘All Hallows’, which is based in the centre of Wellingborough, on the market square. Our expressions of worship and traditions are very different, but we share the same goal in wanting to enable people to grow in their faith and understanding of Jesus Christ.
